Through innovative programs such as culturally appropriate community food assistance, community gardening, youth development, and economic opportunity, AfriThrive strives to build resilient communities while promoting sustainable solutions for food and economic empowerment.
AfriThrive is seeking individuals from diverse backgrounds with varied skill sets, perspectives, and
voices. We thrive on passion for advocacy and commitment to tackling food injustice and health
disparities. Candidates from all communities are encouraged to apply, especially those with expertise In:
Budgeting, grant writing, and securing long-term funding.
Developing partnerships with local and national organizations.
Amplifying AfriThrive’s mission through strategic messaging and outreach.
Expertise in addressing social determinants of health.
Knowledge in sustainable farming and food equity.
The AfriThrive Board provides strategic guidance and supports organizational initiatives.
Board members serve for a three-year term, with the option to renew up to two times.
