Silver Spring, MD – AfriThrive, a non-profit organization working to address food insecurity in African immigrant communities, is excited to announce its Mobile Food Pantry Program will once again be a beneficiary of Giant Food’s Community Bag Program this November.
This partnership underscores AfriThrive’s commitment to providing families in need with access to nutritious, culturally relevant food. Throughout November, Giant Food will donate $1 to AfriThrive’s Mobile Food Pantry Program for every reusable Community Bag purchased at their Silver Spring location at 3860 International Drive.
By purchasing a bag, shoppers directly support AfriThrive’s work to deliver fresh, local produce and essential groceries to underserved communities in the area. “We’re so thankful to be chosen again for this wonderful program,” said Dr. Truphena M. Choti, Founder & CEO of AfriThrive. “It’s a great way to encourage both environmental sustainability and support for families who need a helping hand.”
AfriThrive encourages everyone to purchase a reusable bag at the Silver Spring Giant this November. The funds raised will help expand the reach of their Mobile Food Pantry, which currently serves hundreds of families each month.
Here’s how you can get involved:
Shop and Support: Buy a reusable Community Bag at the Silver Spring Giant (3860 International Drive) anytime in November.
Spread the Word: Tell your friends and family! Share AfriThrive’s flyers and social media posts to help raise awareness.
